Ray, i found your pottery at the Miami Ceramic League site, after recently returning to Miami where i grew up (on KB, but now in a cottage in the more affordable Roads). In a word, yours is the first art I have found in Miami that is all good. I must confess to selling my pruebas de estado as a young etcher over 40 years ago, so i am no perfectionist, but you clearly are, and when i think all pieces i saw were under $50, when Art B that i think of as a fashion show rather than Art, had all sorts of crap on sale for millions . . . Seeing your work, i feel maybe Miami has something to keep me — the possibility of aesthetic progress — so I will not have to leave the climate I love for Japan (where i spent about 20 yrs) after completing the books I am now writing (in Japanese, as I was once well known there and know I have an audience). I must concentrate on those books for the next year and have other projects to do after that, but I would love to share the aesthetic dreams i have for Miami with someone who might realize them. I would love to meet you. ps do you know the translator Bill Wilson? His forewords are always touching as he not only researches but experiences or feels those whom he translates. He also helps rescue various critters, as i see you have. aka Flying Tofu & if you read jpse, 敬愚
